We offer many ways to support our charity and we are hugely grateful for each and every donation we receive. Your support will help enhance the experience of people receiving care in CNTW’s mental health and disability services across the North East and Cumbria.

If you would like to donate to a specific ward, service or hospital, please let us know when donating online or in person.

We provide a secure online donation service via JustGiving, where you can make a one-off or regular donation using a credit or debit card.

Raise funds when you shop online

Register with Easyfundraising to raise money for SHINE for free when you shop online with 8,000+ participating retailers.

Donate unwanted clothes

Visiting one of our main hospital sites? Bring your unwanted items and drop them off at one of our charity donation bins. Find the location details of the bins below:

• Northgate Hospital – located in the north (Tweed) car park
• Ferndene – located in the rear car park
• St. George’s Park – located in the facilities (rear) car park
• St. Nicholas Hospital – located in the main car park next to the Royal Mail Delivery Office
• Hopewood Park – located outside the Barton Centre
• Walkergate Park – located outside main entrance
• Monkwearmouth Hospital – located near Cleadon Ward

We accept: clean reusable clothes, paired shoes, accessories, bedding, towels, toys, curtains and bric-a-brac. SHINE will receive a percentage of the gross sale of the donated items sold.
