Psychiatry fellowship programme

The 3 year structured programme offers an enhanced induction, relocation support, clinical placement plan, clinical and educational supervision, continuous professional development and mental health act competencies.

We offer an excellent opportunity for International Psychiatrists to advance their existing clinical and professional skills and receive excellent clinical experience in specialities that may not be available in other countries. Along with the clinical and professional expertise successful candidates will be developing competencies in areas of research, education, leadership, psychotherapy and cross-cultural psychiatry through the developmental modules in the programme. CNTW was the first trust in the country with such a programme for International Psychiatrists. The programme is registered, sponsored, and audited by the General Medical Council (GMC) UK.

Essential criteria for the programme:

  • MBBS or equivalent qualification registerable with GMC
  • At least 3 years of Structured Psychiatry training
  • Evidence of having obtained Postgraduate Psychiatry qualification outside UK
  • Eligible for registration with General Medical Council.
  • Evidence of English Language test

Interested candidates apply through a structured online application form. Following a successful application, candidates will then be invited to attend an assessment centre which will involve a written assessment and formal interview panel. Successful candidates will be offered a three year contract subject to receipt of satisfactory pre-employment checks.
