North of Tyne Alcohol Detoxification Service – CNTW041
Our inpatient detoxification bed is on Gibside ward at St Nicholas Hospital.
Gibside Ward is a ten bedded mixed unit that provides care for people who have complex mood and anxiety disorders. It includes one bed for medically assisted alcohol detoxification.
Medically assisted alcohol detoxification allows for safe withdrawal from alcohol. However, it is only part of your wider treatment plan. What you do before and after detoxification is very important to optimise your recovery. Find out more in our short video.
